Job Description

Accurate and Timely Payroll Processing: Collect, verify, and enter employee timecard data into our payroll system. Calculate regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and allowances based on company policies and employee contracts. Accurately withhold federal, state, and local taxes, as well as other deductions authorized by employees (e.g., health insurance, retirement contributions). Process payroll on a timely basis according to established schedules. Ensure all payments comply with relevant labor laws and regulations. Employee Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the payroll system, including contact information, tax withholdings, and benefit elections. Process new hire information and terminations in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with keeping track of employee leave accruals and vacation time. Compliance and Reporting: Stay informed of current payroll and tax regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Prepare and file all required tax forms and reports on time and accurately. Generate and distribute various payroll reports, such as paystubs, earnings summaries, and tax reports, to employees and management. Communication and Collaboration: Address employee inquiries regarding their paychecks, deductions, and tax withholdings in a professional and courteous manner. Collaborate effectively with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll processing and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate any payroll-related issues or challenges to supervisors promptly.
