Job Purpose
The Electronics Integration Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of electronic systems for electric vehicles. The role involves working on drivetrain components (motor, controller, battery, display) to optimize performance, ensure compliance with industry standards, and coordinate with vendors for part development and validation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and integration of vehicle electronic hardware components into the vehicle network.
Prepare system requirement specifications for hardware and software of electronic parts.
Perform vehicle network data analysis (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), debugging, and validation.
Interact with vendors and stakeholders for part development, validation, and functional proving.
Conduct functional safety analysis and define/evaluate safety goals as per ISO 26262.
Participate in software development methodology reviews and SW QA processes (ASPICE or equivalent).
Define HEV/EV traction inverter & electrical system architecture.
Work on control algorithms such as state transition diagrams, torque control, and thermal management.
Perform inverter control software verification, validation, and compliance testing.
Support functional testing, benchmarking, and calibration at system, controller, and vehicle level.
Technical/Functional Expertise
Strong knowledge of power electronics in electric vehicles and their components.
Understanding of electric drivetrain systems, modeling, simulation, and design considerations.
Hands-on experience with inverters, motor drives, and control systems (vector control, direct control).
Proficiency with vehicle dynamics modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASPICE, DFMEA, and EV-related regulations/standards (AIS 041, AIS 038, AIS 102).
Experience with testing at HIL, motor bench, and vehicle level.
Exposure to OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) and powertrain calibration.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in large teams with dedication to timelines.
Educational Qualifications
Essential:
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication
Desirable:
M.E./M.Tech with specialization in Power Electronics, Control Systems, or related fields.
Academic/Industrial project experience in traction motor/inverter design, simulation, or testing.
Knowledge of traction control systems, motor drives, and powertrain control.
